Youth Outdoor Education and Land Stewardship Program
NNMIF’s project will focus on launching a community farm in the Hogback area. The project will provide Indigenous and rural youth with hands-on opportunities to learn about farming, gardening, and caring for the land.Youth will help with preparing the land, planting, watering, maintaining crops, and harvesting. They will also learn from community members and elders about traditional farming practices and Diné land stewardship. The community farm will help strengthen food sovereignty, community involvement, and access to locally grown food while giving youth meaningful experience working with the land.
