Solar-Powered Irrigation for Navajo Farmlands

In collaboration with the Navajo Nation, Hogback Farms, and the New Mexico Economic Development Department, we’re working to provide solar energy solutions for local farmers and their crops. By incorporating clean solar power and battery storage into existing irrigation systems, this project helps deliver reliable water access to ancestral farmlands. Our shared goal is to support sustainable agriculture, create local jobs, and strengthen food sovereignty through renewable energy.

NNMIF Navajo Farming, Cultural, and Technology Project

This project aimed to revitalize Indigenous farming practices in the Navajo Nation through hands-on agricultural training, cultural preservation, and community engagement. Funded by the State of New Mexico Indian Affairs Department, the initiative was originally scoped to support three farms. However, through the dedication of the NNMIF team and community interest, the project exceeded expectations by successfully supporting eight farms across Hogback and Shiprock, NM
