Our Community Events & Activities

Our community events bring people together to learn, share, and celebrate our connection to farming, culture, land, and community. Through workshops, gatherings, farm activities, and seasonal events, NNMIF creates opportunities for community members of all ages to participate, build connections, and support local food and Indigenous farming traditions.

During Northern Fair Kids Day, children had the opportunity to learn more about farming and where food comes from. They showed interest in the different steps of the farming process, from preparing the land and planting seeds to caring for crops and harvesting. The event encouraged curiosity and helped introduce youth to the importance of agriculture and community farming.
