Meet the Advisory Board / Our organization will benefit the community farmers along the San Juan River who have been impacted by local area coal mining/power plants resulting in environmental impacts on the farmlands, farmers and leadership within their communities will work alongside of the Northern New Mexico Indigenous Farmers, Inc. The NNMIF, Inc Advisory Board will review projects for rehabilitation.
Growers /The need to meet the affected farmers and farmland through a rehabilitation land management plan is a priority this will accommodate the damages and repair of irrigation, canals, lateral lines as well as promoting quality farming practices through seeding, growers support in harvesting products that accommodate both tribal cultural purposes. The intent to promote food sovereignty and its practices through local labor and trainers for onsite production resulting in a step forward in restoring wellness and wellbeing. Bringing the means of dignity back to farming practices.
